his retirement from the Gaylord Texan Hotel by July
1, 2008, and he wishes to inform the members that anyone
interested in applying for his position should contact

Job Description
Lead Special Events Production
This position is for a person who loves garden railroading
and its challenges. Candidates must be able to think
on their feet, be innovative and energetic, and willing
to take challenges on new ideas and be able to come
up with something special.
Must be able to work well with other employees and
able to instruct helpers on tasks in detail so they
can complete a task in a timely manner. Must be able
to work on tight schedules, plan projects, design displays,
give presentations, purchase equipment and building
materials, maintain inventory on all train related items
and displays, make schedules and lead a team in construction
of the train displays. It's important to be good at
preventive maintenance and repairing equipment.
This person must have be very mechanically inclined,
with a good working knowledge and hands on experience
in woodworking, electronics, electrical wiring, connections
and power calculations, and have basic computer knowledge
in basic CAD software.
This is a full time position at the Gaylord Texan.
Other duties may include care and feeding of the fish
in the inside rivers. A successful candidate must learn
animated lighting techniques, and help in making seasonal
displays.
